Starting with our opening acts, premiering will be new recording artist LiaSimone, Trumpet Sensation Jibreel Johnson and The Will Cyprian Experience featuring Violinist Candice "PrettyStringz" Smith.
LiaSimoné is a 19 year old singer, songwriter, actress, and model. She
decided at a very young she wanted to help people through music. Stevie
Wonder and Lauryn Hill played a huge part in helping her realize her
passion. She began writing her own songs and auditioning for local talent
shows at the age of 11. During late high school, she joined the theatre
program where she landed key roles such as Marcy Park in “The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”, and Ursula in “Disney’s, The Little
Mermaid”. After high school, she decided that she wanted to release music.
LiaSimoné says her music is not one genre, and all types of people can
relate to, and appreciate it. She started out with a few singles, that later
turned into an 6 song EP titled “Mood”, which has a wide range of genres

Her well rounded talent has landed her gigs opening for artists such as Vickie Winans and Day 26. The Showcase is to introduce the extraordinary talent of Detroit Recording Artists each year. Detroit Hot Radio will be celebrating six Local Artists of Detroit who have put in the hard work and the sweat equity into creating their Music.
