Nicki Minaj continues her full-throttle promotional run in support of her recently released Queen album. The 35-year-old stars in the latest Beats by Drecommercial alongside fellow Queens native Nas and Serena Williams, who is currently in NYC for the annual US Open tournament held in Queens. The headphone company unleashed the star-studded ad on Monday (Aug. 27).
Nasir opens the clip, narrating the "Mom or Queen" dilemma surrounding Serena Williams' career. "In fair Queens a conflict sits. Between two side our heroes split," he says as Nicki's Eminem-assisted "Majesty" begins to boom throughout the commercial. Serena is then crowned the "Queen of Queens" in the middle of a city street while donning a couture dress.
Minaj brings the promo to a close with a bar from her famed verse on Kanye West's "Monster." "Now watch the queen conquer," she raps.
Nicki also had some high praise for Serena Williams and the accolades she's received in an Instagram post Monday night (Aug. 27). "I speak for all of us when I say it’s been an absolute pleasure watching you show us what it is to be a true QUEEN! Talented, strong, beautiful, intelligent, unapologetic, gracious, Triumphant, Queen," she wrote.
